Reaching Mehndipur Balaji

Mehndipur Balaji is a bit away from the main Agra – Jaipur Highway and situated around 150kms away from Agra and 66kms from Jaipur. If travelling through rail, the nearest railway station is Bandikui and from there one can easily share the jeep/auto or can even take an individual taxi up to the main Balaji mandir.
Most people prefer to travel by road as it is a six-lane run through highway which is well constructed and maintained and offers great driving pleasure to the enthusiast drivers.

Where to Stay

Though this place does not feature big brands to stay but there are several dharamshalas near the main temple which offers rooms for rent at very nominal rates without compromising with cleanliness and hygiene. You can easily accommodate yourself here between Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 for twin sharing on daily basis.

Places to Visit Nearby

The people visiting Balaji mandir also have a keen desire to visit the Keoladeo National Park and the pink city Jaipur.
The Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park (formerly known as Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary) is around 120kms towards Agra and can be easily covered within 2 hours or even less from Mehndipur. Here you can experience thousands of birds, especially during winter season and this also offers protection to various faunal species.
Spread in an massive area of 29 sq. km., this park showcases Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Boar and various migrating birds.

Best Time to Visit

The people obsessed with evil spirits are welcomed throughout the year but one can plan the visit as per the convenience. As the mandir is situated in the land of deserts, most people schedule their visit between October & March when the climate is favourable.

Budget

This trip will not cost too much on your pocket. A family visiting only Balaji mandir for darshan can end up by spending only few thousand bucks but the combined visit to Bharatpur & Jaipur shall hit a bit more.
